Golf del Sur

Summary

GOLF DEL SUR course, located in the South of Tenerife, designed by Pepe Gancedo and remodelled in 2005 by Ryder Cup player Manuel Piñero. The course opened to the public in 1987, hosting the Tenerife PGA European Tour Open and the Tenerife Ladies Open.

Design

There are two nine-hole courses, each with its own personality and spectacular views, our course offers unrivalled play on every hole. The North Course faces the Teide, where majestic palm trees abound to create a cool, heavenly setting along with the island’s endemic vegetation, while the Links Course takes you towards the Ocean, where the horizon becomes a spectacular backdrop to every swing.

Our favorite holes

On the North Course we highlight, holes 3 and 4 which run along the raive of San Blas, a protected environmental reserve, which at the same time is a visual and strategic challenge for the player.

On the other hand, on the Links we can highlight hole 5, with its tee located on the top of a hill where the player can enjoy the marvellous views of the sea as well as of several holes on this course. This hole involves a certain difficulty for the player due to the water hazard and the out of bounds on the left. Accuracy is important to meet the handicap on this hole.

GOLF DEL SUR is a challenging course but one that provides fun for players!
